HERE ARE THE FAA REQUIREMENTS FOR AIRCRAFT DISPATCHER
NOTE ALWAYS CHECK THE LATEST AT THE FAA WEB
SITE
The
Aircraft Dispatcher computer knowledge exam is an important step in
obtaining an FAA Dispatcher license. You can attend our one day prep
course which is identical and concurrent with our ATP (Airline Transport
Pilot) prep course. If you are a Distance Learning student
we teach this in
the 13 weekend program.
For some pilots in a
competitive airline job market, a Dispatcher license is a backdoor into
the cockpit. We know of several who have moved laterally from Operations
to the flight deck. This is one of those little tricks on how to beat
the system mentioned in the Airline Career and Interview Manual
available in the AGS Company Store.
Danny Mortensen,
President of AGS, is an FAA Examiner for Aircraft Dispatchers, works for
a major airline, and can answer specific questions you may have
regarding employment potential. You may reach him evenings and most
weekends at 859.384.7281or
email us.
Our Standard Dispatcher
Training Program is available from AGS in Northern Kentucky across the
river from Cincinnati, OH. It consists of 13 weekends (All day Sat and
Sun) and is repeated several times per year.
Books and Testing fees
are all included send us and email for details. The course is taught by active
airline Dispatchers.
